I’m pleased to offer a $10 reimbursement if you pick up your item within one hour of drop-off, for orders that qualify for express service. I’ll let you know at drop-off if your order is eligible. If it doesn’t qualify, your items will be promptly mailed to you as soon as they’re completed. I work first come, first served, so the earlier you drop off your clothes, the faster you’ll get them back.

My standard rate is $30 per garment — excellent value for quality alterations. For larger or more detailed projects, I’ll provide a quote before starting. Full payment is required at drop-off.

How to Prepare Your Clothes for Alteration

Please bring [clean] clothing in a bag with a note that has your full name and contact information.

To help me complete your alterations quickly and accurately, please try on your clothes at home and mark the changes using only safety pins. This saves you time, money, and helps me understand exactly what you want. If you would rather I pin the clothing for you while you wear it I charge $25 for this service.

Instructions for pinning:

Hemming = Put the item on with the shoes you’ll wear. Fold the extra fabric over to your desired length. Use safety pins to secure the fold flat. Pin all the sides for even measurements. Make sure pins are parallel with the fold.

Taking In = Put the garment on, over the clothing you will be wearing under it, and pinch the excess fabric. Pin along the seam to indicate how fitted you want it. Use multiple safety pins parallel down the length to show the taper. Do this on both sides for a symmetrical fit.
